Professional Development for Mathematics Faculty

Workshop Formats

Half-day through full-week workshops can be custom-designed for your institution. These workshops provide opportunities for full-time as well as adjunct faculty to network with other teachers and learn how to:

  • use workplace applications and context-based investigations and activities in their teaching;

  • use a variety of teaching methods in the developmental classroom;

  • provide opportunities for students to work effectively in groups and communicate about mathematics both orally and in writing;

  • incorporate modeling approaches in their courses;

  • assess context-based learning and group work;

  • develop their own local-interest contextual problems.

Nancy and Gary are also available as keynote speakers for local and regional conferences.
